Erotic asphyxiation is the deliberate restriction of oxygen to the brain for sexual arousal. Its also known as asphyxiophilia, autoerotic asphyxia, hypoxyphilia, or breath control play. In modern language, the individual engaging in the activity is sometimes known as a gasper.
How Does it Work?
On either side of the human neck the carotid arteries carry oxygen rich blood from the heart to the brain.
